imbra - How to Update DNS After Migrating to imbra

After migrating your website, update your DNS records to point your domain to the imbra server.

Steps

  1. In iPanel, find your hosting server's IP address from the web node management page.

  2. At your domain registrar (or in iPanel if the domain is managed here), update the A record for @ (root domain) to the imbra server IP.

  3. Update the A record for www to the same IP address.

  4. If using imbra's email hosting, ensure the MX records are also correctly configured.

  5. Wait for DNS propagation (up to 24-48 hours).

  6. Verify your website loads from the new server by checking in a browser.

Tip: Use a DNS checker tool to monitor propagation status across different regions. Your site may load from the old or new server during propagation.
